The 5th Annual EALTA Conference

Call for Papers

Deadline for receipt of proposals: 30 November 2007

Proposals are invited for the following types of presentations:

  • Papers
    will be allocated 20 minutes for presentation, with 10 minutes for discussion.
  • Work-in-progress reports
    will be allocated 10 minutes for presentation, with 10 minutes for discussion, in the course of a session allocated to this.
  • Posters
    will be presented in a special session, when the presenters will have the opportunity to discuss their work informally with other participants. The posters will then remain on display for the rest of the conference.

Presentations that clearly reflect the theme of the conference will be prioritized. They may deal with such issues as standard setting, ethics in testing, teacher training in testing and assessment, or other matters that are salient to the quality of language testing/assessment.


To submit a proposal for the 5th Annual EALTA Conference, please:

  1. Download the EALTA2008 proposal form here
  2. Complete the proposal form and the abstract
  3. Save it as a Microsoft Word document (.doc) titled using the format: EALTA2008surnamefirstinitial (e.g. EALTA2008jonesb)
  4. Send it as an attachment to by 30 November 2007
  5. Write the same document name in the subject line of your email (e.g. EALTA2008jonesb).

You will be advised of whether your paper has been accepted by 15 February 2008.
